About Pete
A lifetime in the trade

Pete Trujillo is a second-generation IBEW member with 35 years in the union and the electrical industry. He has served on the executive board for five terms — three of them as chairman — building an unmatched record at every level of Local 611's leadership.

Across 24 different contracts, Pete has sat at the bargaining table and delivered wages, benefits, and protections for working families. He knows every contract, every contractor, and every issue facing this local. That experience cannot be shortcut.

Honest living. Line loyal.

Pete has never forgotten where he came from — a working family, a trade, and a brotherhood. That's not a campaign slogan. It's 35 years of showing up and getting the job done for Local 611 members.

Platform
What Pete will fight for
Fair representation

Every member across all 24 contracts deserves equal, transparent representation — no favorites, no politics, no exceptions.

Protecting our contracts

No contractor eliminates member positions that have been in our contracts for decades. Pete will fight back — at the labor board if necessary.

Political engagement

Staying active in political decisions that impact our jobs, our families, and our future. Pete never sat on the sidelines.

Transparency

Progress you can see, not hidden. An open-door leadership style where every member knows what their business manager is doing and why.

"You are the union. Every vote you cast, every contract we win, every member we protect — that's all of us, together. Solidarity forever."

Why Change is Needed
The Case for New Leadership

Brothers and Sisters of IBEW Local 611 — our Local deserves leadership rooted in integrity, hard work, and faithful stewardship of your money. Right now, that's not what we have.

Jobs & Organizing

No new jobs created and no new contractors organized into the IBEW family, even as our membership grows. Every member deserves the dignity of work and a secure paycheck.

Training & Apprenticeship
  • The AJATC was built non-union, other than electricians.
  • Pushed a 1-to-2 ratio for apprentices that effectively becomes 1-to-5 unlicensed for each journeyman.
  • Tried to force a Code of Excellence with no contractor support or representation.
Member Funds & Accountability
  • Spent over a quarter million dollars on fleet vehicles that were not needed.
  • Bought shirts for staff with union brotherhood money.
  • Multiple LMRDA violations continuously covered by member dues.
  • Dissolved the Brotherhood Fund that helped members in need.
  • Frivolous spending with no transparency on where money is going.
Representation & Negotiations
  • Failed to negotiate all contracts or represent all members equally.
  • Supported contractors over members — lack of duty of fair representation.
  • Opposed the OSHA heat illness program, siding with contractors over worker safety.
  • Not holding all unit meetings or fully informing members of contract details.
  • Few job site visits, leaving members without direct leadership presence.
Taking Credit for Others' Work
  • The Bounty Program was established under the Trujillo administration.
  • Pete made the motion to give inside apprentices $100,000 — leadership only wanted to give it to outside apprentices.
  • The RENEW program was started and established under the Trujillo administration, not Martinez.

Pete Trujillo for Business Manager and Santos Griego for President understand that the general fund is your money. It's sacred. It should be managed with transparency and used to build up our members — not spent without accountability.

This isn't about tearing anyone down. It's about lifting Local 611 up — restoring trust, organizing new work, and making sure no member is left behind.

"I ask for your prayers and your vote. Let's do this together, in Solidarity and in good Faith. Let's bring back integrity. Let's bring back work. Let's take care of our Union."
